Support a Project !

If you are a donor, philanthropist or a private organization and are interested in seeing the results of your investment, GRACE’s provides you with an efficient and effective forum to achieve these goals. For this purpose, we have developed a "Support A Project" menu through which donors can choose to sponsor a specific project. Please note that we also greatly appreciate unrestricted funding as it allows us to build capacity and deploy your funds in the most strategic way.

We believe in change which is visible, replicable and sustainable. We assure you of a high level of transparency in the use of your financial support and accountability for our performance and quality.

The list of our planned projects for the coming years is given below. We will provide you with the full project document after receiving your expression of interest. Once the project is supported and is under implementation, you will be provided with quarterly and six monthly progress reports as agreed. On completion, GRACE will provide you with a full project completion report

The following list describes our 2008 priority projects and their estimated costs which include operational and administrative expenses. Please contact us to support a project. Thank you!

Summary:

300 Girl Children (age 4 -12) of migrants and poorest of the poor families in the lap of K-2 Pakistan (The 2nd Highest Peak of the World) will receive quality primary education. In this region girls are mostly kept at home for helping parents. Educating the girl child is not a priority in these families. Extreme poverty is the root cause of not sending girl children to school. The project will grant scholarship to these children meeting their school fee, uniform, books and stationery. These children would be fortunate to make a difference not only in their lives but also many others and their new generations.

will enable 100 people with disabilities to have a wheelchair
will educate a child with disability for one year
will graduate a child with disability in Primary Education
will graduate 35 Children with Disabilities in Primary Education

Summary:
11% among 500000 populations are children and persons with disabilities of Skardu Baltistan Pakistan. This figure is much higher than the national and international ratio due to malnutrition, lack of care for pregnant mother, poor understanding and knowledge about various diseases giving rise to disability by birth, mining and shelling across the border. Communities take disability for granted as part of their mythic values that interprets the misery of disability ordained from God, as a punishment to be accepted with no possibilities of having a different life. Grace Association Pakistan identified and registered 200 C/PWDs in the suburb of Skardu City. Among them 36% C/PWDs found affected by Polio during the World Health Organization (WHO) Experts Team Assessment did on request of GRACE in May 2008. 14 Children with physical and partially mental and speech impairments enrolled in Grace Public School with the help of our Members. But hundreds of Children with Disabilities are to be enrolled whom parents are unable to send their children to school due to extreme poverty as well as lack of inclusive schools in the villages. The donations will spend on transportation, adoptive devices (wheelchairs, hearing and listening aids etc) and creating accessible inclusive learning friendly environment in the school.
